Workshop: Tactics for Negotiation & Self-Advocacy as BIWOC PMs

Learn four mindsets that typically stop BIWOCs from negotiating and practical tactics for self-advocacy.

About this event

Salary negotiating is a life skill. But it can be intimidating to enter negotiations when it feels like the cards are already stacked against you.

You’ve probably heard the stats*:

  • The average woman earns $0.81 for every $1 that the average white male makes.

  • The average Black woman earns $0.61 for each $1 earned by the average white male.

  • Over the course of a 40-year career, the average woman would lose $406,280. For Latinas, it’s $1,163,920, and for Black women, it’s $964,400.

*Stats from 81cents.com and National Women’s Law Center.
