This is a 10-week group leadership coaching program for BIPOC Women and Femmes.

Activate Your Voice has live group coaching, self-study virtual lessons and workbooks, and community engagement.

As you reflect, learn, and integrate your lessons, you will also have the opportunity to take up space, celebrate your amazing self, process, and get coached.

This program is designed to empower you to activate your voice.

In our experience, everyone has unique journeys and are at different levels of speaking confidently. We will meet you wherever you are and lovingly challenge you to grow.

This program will help you start and build a restorative leadership practice.

 

You will flow through exploring and integrating:

 
  • Self-knowing: Who are you? What do you stand for?

  • Self-compassion: What do you need to heal? What do you need to unlearn?

  • Self-care: What do you need to thrive?

  • Self-love: How can you love up on yourself to do something new or hard?

  • Self-advocacy: How can you speak for your work and create the change you want?

 
 
 

We know speaking up can be scary, and we know what typically holds WOC back from wanting better and going for it.

We have fine-tuned this coaching framework that has helped over 150+ WOC clients and thousands of workshop participants.

This is just one way to catalyze this type of soul-moving, fear-confronting, values-embodying, do-the-damn-thing-daring, and life-upgrading change in your life.

What You’ll Be Doing

This is called Activate Voice for a reason! You will be exploring your leadership voice.

This is an invitation to focus on yourself unapologetically. This is a special, safe space for you to show up exactly as you are in order to find your leadership voice and to practice embodying it.

We want you to practice speaking the words of your dreams, your requests for support, your boundaries, your negotiations, and love for yourself.

 

Cadence

Each section is dropped biweekly. As you go through the lessons, there will be corresponding workbooks and homework assignments. 

We will ground together on each of the sections during the Live Group Coaching Calls, with space for sharing and coaching.

In between calls and homework, we want you to integrate your learnings and create incremental change. This is the real work!

 

Incremental Learnings and Shifts

Daring to break cycles that don’t serve you and stepping out of your comfort zone is where you will grow. These don’t have to be huge conversations or grand acts. They can be micro changes that you courageously try on, compassionately pull the lessons, and then boldly try again.

The goal is to create a foundation for your sustainable self-advocacy practice.

  • Are a BIPOC Women leader or aspiring leader who wants more out of the career, relationships, and out of LIFE

  • Know that learning how to communicate your vision, the value you bring and your impact matters

  • Are looking for a inclusive leadership program that helps you build a strong foundation for future change and transformation

  • Want a space to hold you, love up on you, and empower you as you dare to speak up

  • Are just as excited to take up space for yourself as well as make space for others

This program is not for you, if you:

  • Want a career consultant and done-for-you services

  • Want on the spot “911” negotiation support

  • Don’t think healing is part of the process

  • Are not ready to be seen or witnessed **You don’t have to be the loudest person in the room. Hey Introverts, this program is for you, too! But you gotta be open.**

  • Think your work should speak for itself (unfortunately, we gotta speak for our work, friend!)

  • Are unwilling to experiment, play, do things differently, shake shit up and create new outcomes and possibilities for yourself

Historically, women of color have been on the margins of wealth, leadership and access to resources, and we still experience racist and sexist systems and biases that aim to limit us.

  • All good. The live group calls will be recorded and shared with the group.

  • You don’t have to get ready if you stay ready. We want to help you find your leadership voice and build your self-advocacy practice. The more you advocate for yourself the easier it will be. We will cover negotiations in the 4th Section: Negotiate and Self-Advocate, and so much more goes into it than what you say.

    Many of our career moves don’t happen overnight. They are created by building relationships with key stakeholders and external networking, which requires you to Activate Your Voice.

  • No. This program is for, created by, and centered around Black, Indigenous, Women, and Femmes of Color. We welcome trans women and non-binary people.

    If you don’t identify as a WOC and want to work with us, we invite you to partner with us to bring our coaching to your team. We partner with allies and their teams to create safe and empowering workplaces.

  • No. We’ve done it in other programs. For this program, we are focusing on Activating Your Voice and the inner work needed for you to speak for your work and the value you bring. Many of these lessons can be applied to career assets.

  • YES! We actually encourage you to ask your company first and utilize any professional development funds you have available.

    This program will help you grow as a leader. You will improve your communication and connection with your confidence. It’s a win-win for them to invest in your development.
